This is THE BEST Crock Pot Pepper Steak! It is so easy to make and super flavorful, serve it over a bed of white rice or mashed potatoes and your entire family will love this comforting meal. Even the pickiest of eaters will scarf this down!
This crock pot pepper steak is probably one of my most favorite dishes. It’s so comforting and hearty, especially on a chilly day. The steak is so tender, it just melts in your mouth.
You will need:
1 ½ – 2 lbs beef round steak cut into strips
3 Tablespoons corn starch
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp freshly ground pepper
½ medium onion, chopped
1 minced garlic clove
2 large green bell pepper cut into strips (to save time I use a bag of multi-colored frozen bell peppers already cut into strips)
1 can (16 oz.) whole tomatoes
1 Tb beef bullion granules (I use gluten-free)
2 tsp organic Worcestershire sauce (gluten-free)’
1 Tb low sodium gluten-free soy sauce
Cooked white rice

Directions
Cut steak into strips, if you want to save time, buy the meat already cut into strips for stir fry. Then combine the corn starch, salt and pepper and toss with the steak.
Next, add the meat to the crock pot with the onion, garlic and ½ of the pepper strips, stir. To save time I use frozen bell peppers already cut into strips.
Then, combine tomatoes, bullion granules, soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce. Now pour in crock pot over meat and cover and cook on low for 6- 8 hours. 1 hour before serving, turn on high and stir in the remaining pepper strips. Thicken with slurry made of 2 Tablespoons of corn starch and 2 Tablespoons of water. Finally, stir and cover and cook until thickened. Serve over white rice or mashed potatoes
