You will need:
5 pita bread – classic (with pocket) or Greek (flatbread style)
½ cup butter, softened
2 TB grated Parmesan
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp dried oregano or basil, crushed
MY AMAZON PICKS (affiliate links):
If using classic pita bread with pocket, split bread. I had the Greek flatbread on hand so I didn’t have to split the bread.
In medium bowl, combine butter, cheese, garlic and oregano or basil
Spread butter mixture on the rough side of the pita if using classic, if using Greek flatbread, simply spread butter mixture on top of each pita.
Cut each pita bread into 8 triangles like a pizza
Arrange on a baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 7-9 minutes if using classic and 13-15 minutes using flatbread.
May bake longer for crispier chip.
Serve with soup or pizza sauce for dipping. Your family will love these baked Italian pita chips!
