Directions:
Spread a small amount of chocolate frosting on top of the cupcake.
Roll out the chocolate fondant and using the round cutter, cut out a circle.
Place the chocolate fondant circle on top of the cupcake.
Smooth down one side of the cupcake, then gently bring the edge of the fondant circle down to the rim of the cupcake liner with your thumb.
Rotate the cupcake slowly and repeat the gentle stretching of the side of the circle down to the rim of the cupcake liner.
Continue with the stretching all the way around the cupcake. Don’t worry if it doesn’t look smooth on top yet.
This is how your cupcake should look after the sides are secure.
Now take the palm of your hand and cup the top of your cupcake. Gently smooth out the top of the cupcake with the palm of your hand this helps it look smooth.
See? Nice & smooth!
Next, mix a little chocolate fondant with white fondant, then knead the fondant together until you have a nice tan color. Roll out fondant and cut out the oval shape.
Use the tip of the teardrop cutter and cut a small triangle out of the top of the tan oval fondant.
Repeat a couple more times to make a it look like a little fur sticking up on top.
Attach the tan oval fondant to the bottom half of the cupcake with a little water using a food safe brush.
Next cut 2 teardrop shapes out of the dark chocolate fondant using the teardrop cutter.
Attach the teardrops to the sides of the oval with water.
Roll a small oval ball out of the black fondant.
Using the mini round cutter, cut 2 black circles out of the black fondant.
Attach the black fondant nose in the middle of the cupcake, and the round circles on the teardrops using water for the eyes.
With a toothpick dipped in frosting, attach 2 mini white confetti sprinkles to the middle of the black eyes.
Draw on a mouth using a black food marker.
Make 2 thick ovals about an inch long with white fondant and flatten the top. Pinch the end a little on the bottom for bunny ears.
Push a toothpick in the bottom of the ears. Let dry completely or overnight.
Wait until the ears are completely dry, since it will be easier to color the middle of the ears with a pink food marker.
Push the ears in the top of the cupcake.
Now you have a Sloth Bunny Cupcake that’s super cute!
