These lucky little Pig Marshmallow Cupcakes are the perfect addition to your Year of the Pig Chinese Lunar New Year Party!
Marshmallow piggies so easy to make, and a cute little candy hat tops it off! Add some chocolate trees and branches with pink flower sprinkles for a cute cherry blossom touch. A pretty little red drink umbrella finishes the adorable cupcake!
For your Pig Marshmallow Cupcakes you will need:
12 cupcakes, any flavor
White frosting
Pink candy melts
Chocolate candy melts
Pink M&M’s
Pink heart sprinkles
Pink flower sprinkles
Cherry Sours candy
Gold pearl sprinkles
Black food marker
- Frost cupcakes with white frosting.
- Melt pink candy coating according to package instructions.
- Pour melted candy coating into a deep bowl or glass.
- Place a marshmallow on a lollipop stick or wooden skewer and dip into melted candy coating.
- Tap the side of the bowl to remove excess candy coating.
- Place stick In a Styrofoam holder.
- Put 2 pink heart sprinkles upside down on top of marshmallow for ears.
- Place a pink M&M on the front of the marshmallow for the nose. Let dry completely.
- Melt chocolate candy melts according to package instructions.
- Put melted chocolate into a piping bag or zipper bag.
- Pipe out trees and branches onto parchment paper.
- Immediately place pink flower sprinkles on branches.
- Let dry completely.
- Cut Cherry Sours in half.
- Dip a toothpick in candy coating and attach a gold pearl sprinkle on top of the Cherry Sours half.
- Using the black food marker, make dots on the marshmallow for eyes, and dots on the M&M for the nose.
- Attach the hat on top of the pig using melted candy coating.
- Place pig and cherry tree & branches on top of cupcake.
- Melt candy coating according to package directions, place marshmallow on a lollipop stick or wooden skewer and dip into coating. Tap on side of bowl to remove excess. Add 2 heart sprinkles, upside down to the top of the marshmallow for ears.
2. Melt chocolate candy coating, place in piping bag and pipe out trees and branches on parchment paper. Immediately add flower sprinkles. Let dry completely.
3. Slice Cherry Sours Candies in half. Dip a toothpick in melted candy coating and attach the gold pearl sprinkle on top.
4. Attach a M&M to the front of the marshmallow using melted candy coating for the nose. Using the black food marker, make 2 dots for eyes on the marshmallow and 2 dots for the nose on the M&M.
5. Attach the hat to the top of the pig using melted candy coating.
6. Place the pig and the tree branches on top of the cupcake.
