This beautiful Great Gatsby inspired wedding is just STUNNING. Just wait until you see all of the beautiful details of this amazing event captured by Adrien Craven Photography.
And this wedding… is DIY. Yes. Unbelievable.
The groom Jason, (my nephew) and his bride Shawna, (who is THE ULTIMATE DIY-er and really should be a wedding planner) decided on a Great Gatsby theme wedding. Shawna is wearing a beautiful Maggie Sottero gown.
Shawna’s bridal bouquet cost about $20 since she purchased the flowers from Costco and added a few hydrangeas from the garden. She added some ostrich feathers which she purchased online for about 10 cents each and the sleeve from her mother’s wedding gown (her something old). Her bridesmaids arranged all of the bouquets the night before the wedding.
The bridesmaids gowns were by Mayri Dress
The gold chevron backdrop was even built by Shawna for the guests to enjoy as a photo booth at the reception!
Gorgeous day on the Puget Sound.
Simple vases with single white roses lined the aisle. A heartfelt tribute to my late father, the bride and groom wanted to include his memory by hanging his WWII army uniform jacket on my mother’s seat.
Gorgeous place settings, each with a peacock feather and key. Small individual bottles of moonshine were also provided at each table. The details just made every guest feel so special.
Shawna created these beautiful centerpieces on a dime. When the sun set, they were lit up and remained a stunning display.
Details greeted each guest upon their arrival.
Even the guests happily dressed up and got into the theme of things!
A stunning wedding created with so much thought and love. Every detail was exquisite and proved that with imagination, a love for crafting, and heartfelt desire to genuinely make guests feel special, a beautiful wedding can truly be affordable.
