Grandma’s Classic Egg Salad is my mom’s recipe! I grew up on this and it was hands-down my favorite sandwich growning up. My kids absolutely love their grandma’s recipe too! It’s so creamy and just perfection using only 4 ingredients! This recipe has been a family favorite for generations and I hope you love it too. My mom’s recipe is great for sandwiches, salads or even on crackers as an appetizer. I love making this and my ultimate Chicken Salad or Pimento Cheese for the perfect girl dinner.

You’ll love how easy this is to make. Make a sandwich or place a scoop of egg salad on top of some butter leaf lettuce. Great way to get your protein for the day. Not just for lunch or a quick snack, this is great on toast in the morning for a quick breakfast. Make it the day before and it’s even better. You can try adding a quarter of a teaspoon of ground mustard for a little kick, it’ll taste just like a deviled egg!

You will need:
6 large eggs
1/3 cup mayonnaise
1 tsp yellow mustard
White bread
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions for Grandma’s Classic Egg Salad:
First boil the eggs for 20 minutes. Remove and put into bowl of ice water. Let cool completely.
Next peel eggs and chop fine.

Now add the mayonnaise, mustard, salt and pepper.

Mix until thoroughly combined.

Spread egg salad mixture on a piece of white bread. Top with another slice of bread.

Cut the sandwich diagonally.

Cut diagonally again for smaller sandwiches.
