Combining my two favorite desserts of the season, Frozen Hot Chocolate & Peppermint Pie was just the best idea I’ve ever had!
This dessert is SO EASY to make and is great frozen or thawed in the fridge. It has quickly become a family favorite and it’s super easy to double the recipe!

You will need:
- Prepared Oreo or chocolate pie crust
- 4 oz. (half block) of room temperature cream cheese
- 1/4 cup butter softened
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 8 oz. Cool Whip, thawed and divided
- 2 1/2 packets (1.38 oz. each) of instant hot cocoa mix
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 3/4 cup mini marshmallows
- pink food coloring
- 1/8 tsp peppermint extract
- Starlight mint (for decoration if desired)

With a hand mixer, cream together the softened cream cheese and butter until fluffy.
Add the vanilla and powdered sugar and cream together until thoroughly combined.
Beat in the hot cocoa packets one at a time.
Fold in the mini marshmallows and half of the Cool Whip tub.
Place the chocolate filling mixture in the pie crust.
Fold in the peppermint extract and a few drops of pink food coloring into the remaining Cool Whip and spread on top of the chocolate layer.
Freeze 4 hours or overnight. Decorate with shaved chocolate, whipped cream and peppermint candies, if desired

- ½ tsp vanilla
- 8 oz. Cool Whip, thawed and divided
- 2 1/2 packets (1.38 oz. each) of instant hot cocoa mix, dry
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 3/4 cup mini marshmallows
- pink food coloring
- 1/8 tsp peppermint extract
- Starlight mint candy for decoration if desired
