SpongeBob Squarepants® was hands down our sons’ favorite when they were growing up and now as adults they both still quote their favorite episodes and imitate SpongeBob and Patrick. There are some things so great in life that you never outgrow them!
So when I saw these milk chocolate flavored SpongeBob SquarePants® candies from R.M. Palmer, I was so excited! They look amazing and are so delicious! I just had to make them a show-stopping feature of our Easter dessert!

You will need:
8” two layer cake
White, pink, blue and yellow buttercream frosting, click here to get my Best Buttercream frosting recipe
#18, #23, #30, #32 Wilton piping tips
Disposable piping bags
R.M. Palmer SpongeBob Squarepants® milk chocolate flavored candy (SpongeBob & Patrick)
White fondant
Pink fondant
White candy coating
Blue and white pearl sprinkles
Yellow plastic Easter eggs
Artificial greenery
Glue gun

Directions for Easter SpongeBob Squarepants ® Cake
Cut the bunny ears out of white fondant. Place on parchment paper. Cut out the pink interior for the ears and attach them to the white fondant ears with a little water. Let dry overnight.
Melt the white candy coating according to package instructions. Place the milk chocolate flavored SpongeBob and Patrick on parchment paper.
Dip the ends of the fondant ears into the melted candy coating an immediately attach them to the top of SpongeBob and Patrick. Let dry completely, about an hour.
Frost the cake with white buttercream frosting
Use the #32 tip for the yellow frosting, the #30 tip for the pink, the #23 for the blue and the #18 for the white
Using the yellow buttercream and #32 piping tip, pipe yellow stars around the cake
Now pipe the rest of the frosting colors with the remaining assorted tips.
Finish filling in any areas with the white buttercream frosting using the #18 tip
Using tweezers, place the blue and white pearl sprinkles on the side and top of the cake.
Glue the artificial greenery on top of the yellow plastic Easter eggs (I picked up both at my local dollar store)
Place egg and bunny SpongeBob and Patrick on top of cake.
Now you have the best Easter SpongeBob Squarepants® Cake ever!

Ingredients
- 8” two layer cake

- R.M. Palmer SpongeBob Squarepants® milk chocolate flavored candy (SpongeBob & Patrick)

- Blue and white pearl sprinkles

- Artificial greenery

Instructions
