Super egg-cited to share my Chicken Coop Cake! This cake was so fun to make and the graham cracker and wafer cookie chicken coop turned out so cute!
This graham cracker chicken coop with a fondant tin roof was so fun to make – just like making a mini gingerbread house for chickens!
All I needed was to add some of my cute marshmallow chicks and roosters!
You will need:
- 9″ round cake
- white buttercream frosting
- toasted coconut
- graham crackers
- wafer cookies
- silver food coloring spray
- white fondant
- black fondant
- green buttercream frosting
- grass piping tip #233 Wilton
- decorating icing flowers
- candy coated chocolate eggs
- marshmallow chicks & roosters

Directions:
- Frost cake with white buttercream.
Toast coconut and press into the side of the cake at the bottom.
Next sprinkle some of the toasted coconut in the middle of the cake to form a nice circle.
Using silver color mist food coloring, spray 4 wafer cookies.
Using the buttercream, attach the silver wafers and create a square.
Cut the graham crackers the same length of the wafer cookies.
Attach the graham crackers together to form a square using the buttercream.
Stack the graham square on top of the silver wafer cookie square.
Secure with buttercream.
Cut out a small graham cracker for the door and pipe a border with an “x” in the middle.
Cut a small black fondant square.
Attach the black door opening and graham cracker door to the front of the coop with buttercream. Pipe windows on the side using buttercream.
Cut a wafer cookie at a diagonal in half.
Spray the halves silver with color mist along with another wafer cookie.
Attach the diagonal wafer cookies to the top sides of the coop and the whole wafer cookie in the back with buttercream.
Roll out a white fondant roof to fit the top of the coop, leaving a little overlap on the sides. Press a wooden skewer into the fondant to make a corrugated look. LET DRY OVERNIGHT.
Spray the completely dry fondant roof with silver food color mist.
Attach the roof with buttercream.
Pipe lines on a graham cracker half with buttercream.
Attach the ramp with buttercream. Pipe on grass with green buttercream using a grass piping tip.

Add icing flowers & marshmallow chicks & roosters to the top of the cake.
Add candy coated chocolate eggs to the top of the cake.

Chicken Coop Cake
Cute Chicken Coop Cake with a graham cracker chicken coop and a fondant tin roof with adorable marshmallow chickens and roosters!
Ingredients
- 9" round cake
- white buttercream frosting
- toasted coconut
- graham crackers
- wafer cookies
- silver food coloring spray
- white fondant
- black fondant
- green buttercream frosting
- grass piping tip #233 Wilton
- decorating icing flowers
- candy coated chocolate eggs
- marshmallow chicks & roosters
Instructions
1. Frost cake with white buttercream
2. Toast coconut and press into the bottom sides of the cake.
3. Sprinkle the toasted coconut in a circle on the top center of the cake.
4. Spray 4 wafers with silver food spray, attach them together in a square using buttercream
5. Cut graham crackers the same length of the wafer cookies and attach them together in a square using buttercream.
6. Using buttercream secure the graham cracker square on top of the silver wafer square.
7. Cut out a small graham cracker for the door and pipe a border with an "x" in the middle for the door.
8. Cut out a small square of black fondant.
9. Attach the black door opening and graham cracker door to the front of the coop with buttercream. Pipe windows on the side of the coop using buttercream.
10. Cut a wafer cookie diagonally in half and spray with silver food mist. Spray a whole wafer cookie with silver mist too.
11. attach the diagonal wafer cookies to the top sides of the coop and the whole wafer cookie in the back with buttercream.
12. Roll out a white fondant roof to fit the top of the coop, leaving a little overlap on the sides. Press a wooden skewer into the fondant to make a corrugated look. LET DRY OVERNIGHT.
13. Pipe lines on a graham cracker half with buttercream for ramp.
14. Attach ramp to front of coop with buttercream. Using a #233 Wilton tip, pipe green buttercream grass on the top of the cake.
