Back-to-School Apple Cupcakes

These Back-to-School Apple Cupcakes are super cute and a great treat for your favorite teacher in the first day of school! Using cupcakes bought in the bakery section of my local grocery store, they couldn’t be easier to create!

Back to school apple cupcakes, teacher gift treat ideas, fun and easy cupcakes, apple decorated cupcakes, store bought cupcakes, fun food for kids, sweet treats, after school snack, school party classroom ideas

You will need:

  • White frosted cupcakes found in the bakery department of your local grocery store. (I picked up mine from my local Albertsons).
  • Red sugar sprinkles
  • Pretzel sticks
  • Green gumdrops
  1.  Smooth frosting on top of cupcake with a knife
  2. Turn cupcake upside down and roll in bowl of red sugar sprinkles.  Coat all frosted surfaces with the red sprinkles.
  3. Snap pretzel stick in half and push into the center of the cupcake.
  4. Using kitchen shears, cut a green gumdrop in half diagonally for leaves.
  5. Place gumdrop leaves on each side of the pretzel stick.

For gift giving:

  • Small chipwood baskets
  • Paper gingham beverage napkins
  • Mini clip on chalkboards
  • Chalk pen
  1. Open napkin and place inside of basket.
  2. Write message on mini chalkboard with a chalk pen.
  3. Put cupcake inside basket and clip the mini chalkboard on the side of the basket.
