RAINBOW PUPPY CHOW

This Rainbow Puppy Chow is a favorite at our house! Peanut butter & Chocolate Puppy Chow with a candy coating drizzle and sprinkles – what’s not to love?

This is a perfect anyday snack or for a birthday party! Great for St. Patrick’s Day and for a Unicorn theme party too!

You will need:

• 1 (12 oz) box Chex Mix, corn or rice
• 1 (12 oz) bag semi-sweet chocolate chips.
• 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
• 1/2 cup butter
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1 (2 lb) bag powdered sugar – use more or less to taste.
• Popcorn (about 10 cups)
• Candy coating (any color)
• Sprinkles
• Mini pretzels
• peanut M&M’s

Instructions for Chocolate Peanut Butter Puppy Chow:

1. Microwave chocolate chips, peanut butter & butter together in a bowl for 1 minute. Stir until smooth.
2. If mixture isn’t completely smooth, microwave at 10 second intervals until melted.
3. Stir in vanilla extract.
4. Pour the Chex cereal in an extra-large bowl.
5. Pour the chocolate peanut butter mixture over the Chex cereal. Stir to thoroughly combine.
6. Mix in powdered sugar to cover cereal completely.
7. Store in air tight container until ready to use.

For the candy coated popcorn

Place popcorn on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Melt candy coating according to package instructions, then pour melted candy coating in a piping bag.

Drizzle candy coating all over the popcorn.

Immediately shake sprinkles on top and let dry completely.

Now mix the Puppy Chow, candy coated popcorn, mini pretzels and M&M’s together.
