Pretty flower fondant unicorn cake. Fluffy from all the fondant ruffles on the flowers with just a brushing of pink color dust makes this cake gorgeous. Simple details make this beautiful cake easy to make. A perfect centerpiece for your unicorn themed party.
You will need:
- Cake covered in white fondant
- White fondant
- Biscuit cutters
- Umbrella 5/6 division fondant tool (or you can use the side of a toothpick or dull butter knife for the petals)
- Fondant rolling pin
- Extra fine black food marker
- Pink food color dust
- Gold pearl dust
- Lemon juice
- Food safe paint brush
- Roll white fondant with the fondant roller on parchment paper.
- Cut out flower shapes using the smallest biscuit cutter.
- With the umbrella 5/6 division fondant tool, press in the veins on fondant to make petals.
- Using the food safe paint brush, lightly brush on the rose color dust on the petals.
- With the black food marker, draw on eyes & eyelashes.
- Mix the gold pearl dust with a small amount of lemon juice.
- Paint on the horn & ears with the gold mix using a food safe paint brush.
- Place flower in flower shaping bowls. Let dry over night.
- Attach the dry flowers to the cake using a little water for adhesive.
- For large flower on top, use the same process with the each of the larger biscuit cutters and attach them all together with a little water.
