Super easy Berry Angel Delight dessert! This make-ahead dessert is the best for a crowd. Great for picnics, potlucks or your 4th of July party! This is a family favorite and a must-have at all of our gatherings. You’ll love how easy it is to make and you can even make it the night before your event! You can easily cut this recipe in half as well.

You will need:

2 envelopes unflavored gelatin
1 ½ cups cold water
1 cup sugar
2 cups sliced or diced fresh strawberries or frozen
½ cup strawberry preserves
2 tubs of 8 oz. Cool Whip, thawed (or 1(16 oz.) tub) plus more if you want to decorate the top.
8-10 cups angel food cake cut into cubes, homemade or store-bought.
Assorted fresh berries for garnish.
Directions for Strawberry Angel Dessert:
In small pan, combine gelatin and cold water and let stand 5 minutes to soften.
Heat and stir over low heat until gelatin dissolves.

Remove from heat and add sugar, stir until dissolved.

Dice strawberries.

Stir the strawberries and jam in the gelatin and chill in the refrigerator until partially thickened.

Fold in whipped topping.

Cut angel food cake into cubes.

Place cake cubes in mixing bowl.

Pour mixture over cake. Fold together gently.

Pour into an ungreased 9×13 dish. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 4 hours or overnight. Before serving, decorate with more Cool Whip if desired.

Garnish top with berries right before serving.

- Add assorted berries on top right before serving.
