It’s no secret that I love Snoopy, so I had to combine my two favorite things in the world and make Snoopy Christmas Cookies!
There are so many recipes for sugar cookies out there, but I have to say that I’ve never had any come close to my mom’s recipe. It’s just simply the best in my opinion.

You will need:
1 cup butter
1 1/2 cup sifted powdered sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
3 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cream of tartar
1/2 tsp salt
For the icing:
3 Tb meringue powder
4 cups sifted powdered sugar
5-6 Tb lukewarm water
Various Snoopy and Woodstock cookie cutters found on Etsy
Food coloring
Assorted sprinkles and icing decorations
Food coloring markers
Teddy Grahams
For the Cookies:
Cream butter in a mixing bowl. Gradually add powdered sugar and mix until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla and mix until thoroughly combined. Sift together flour, baking soda, cream of tartar and salt. Gradually add the flour mixture to the creamed mixture until combined completely. Shape dough into a ball and roll out into a lightly floured surface to 1/8-inch thickness. Using Snoopy Christmas cookie cutters, cut dough into various Christmas shapes. Place on parchment paper lined cookie sheets and bake 10-12 minutes in a pre-heated 375-degree oven or until bottoms are golden. Cool completely.
For the Icing:
Place sugar and meringue in a mixing bowl and mix together. Add water and mix low to medium speed with a stand mixer for 7-10 minutes. If using a hand mixer, increase the time and beat until icing loses its sheen. To thin icing to desired consistency, add one tsp of water at a time. You can also divide icing into batches and add the food coloring of your choice. Decorate each cookie using icing and sprinkles. Let dry overnight and decorate with edible markers if desired.

You will need to let the icing set overnight before you can write on it. If adding sprinkles, then add them when the icing is still wet.
There are so many cute cookie cutters to choose from, I had to go with the Snoopy doghouse!
And I made some Woodstock elves and Snoopy Santas ( Woodstock was actually a santa cookie cutter). That’s what I love about making these cute Snoopy Christmas Cookies, that you can be as creative as you wish!
