My kids just loved opening up their lunch boxes and finding a Little Debbie treat. Zebra Cakes are a favorite in our house and I found a way to make them even more special to celebrate the start of the school year!
Z is definitely for ZEBRA CAKES and these little zebras are SO EASY to make, the kids will just love them!
You will need:
- Little Debbie Zebra Cakes
- Chocolate fondant
- Chocolate frosting
- Mini marshmallows
- Pink sugar sprinkles
- Candy eyes
- Pink confetti sprinkles
- White frosting
- Small oval cutter
- Disposable icing piping bag
- Drop flower piping tip #224
With a toothpick dipped in a little white frosting, attach the candy eyes to the center of the Zebra Cake
Roll out the chocolate fondant and cut out a small oval shape using an oval cutter.
Attach 2 pink confetti sprinkles to the fondant oval for the nose with a little white frosting. Then attach the nose to the lower part of the cake with frosting.
Cut a mini marshmallow diagonally in half.
Next dip the cut ends into pink sugar sprinkles
Attach the ears to the top of the cake with a little white frosting.
Pipe on a small mane between the ears with chocolate frosting using tip #224.

Make the cutest Zebra Cakes using Little Debbie Zebra snack Cakes! So adorable and easy to make, kids will love these!
Ingredients
- Little Debbie Zebra Cakes
- Chocolate fondant
- Chocolate frosting
- Mini marshmallows
- Pink sugar sprinkles
- Candy eyes
- Pink confetti sprinkles
- White frosting
- Small oval cutter
- Disposable icing piping bag
- Drop flower piping tip #224
Instructions
- With a toothpick dipped in a little white frosting, attach 2 candy eyes to the top of the Little Debbie Zebra Cake.
- Roll out the chocolate fondant and cut out a small oval shape using the oval cutter.
- Attach 2 pink confetti sprinkles to the fondant oval for the nose using the toothpick dipped in frosting. Then attach the nose to the lower part of the cake with frosting.
- Cut a mini marshmallow in half diagonally.
- Dip the cut ends of the marshmallow into pink sugar sprinkles for the ears.
- Attach the ears to the top of the cake using the white frosting.
- Pipe a small flower between the ears using chocolate frosting and a #224 piping tip.
