This super easy Key Lime Pie only has 4 ingredients! You’ll love how refreshing and light this tastes and this recipe makes TWO PIES! You will need:
2 (9” 6oz.) ready made graham cracker pie crusts
16 oz. Cool Whip, thawed
½ cup Key Lime juice (I use Nellie and Joe’s Brand – it’s the best!)
1 (14 oz) can Sweetened Condensed Milk
Fresh Lime (optional)
More thawed Cool Whip for garnish (optional)
Directions for Super Easy Key Lime Pie:
First, empty the can of Sweetened Condensed Milk into a large bowl.
Next, pour in the ½ cup key lime juice and mix together thoroughly. I really recommend Nellie & Joe’s brand of Key Lime Juice, it’s the next best thing to freshly squeezed key limes. Not a sponsored post, I just really love their Key Lime juice.
Now add 1/2 teaspoon lime zest if desired.
Now add the 16 oz. of Cool Whip
Fold in the Cool Whip with a spatula until thoroughly combined.
Divide the mixture in half and smooth into the pie crusts.
Refrigerate for at least 6 hours or freeze.
Garnish with more fresh lime zest and Cool Whip if desired.
The hardest part about making these pies is waiting for them to set. You can either freeze or refrigerate them, I usually put one in the refrigerator for 6 hours and freeze the other one to enjoy later. This is one of my husband’s all-time favorite desserts, and let me tell you there’s never any leftovers. In fact, I have had to take another pie out of the freezer because the first one was devoured and everyone wanted seconds!
If you like a fluffy pie, refrigerate them, but if you like a ice cream texture, go ahead and freeze it!
