You will need:
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup light corn syrup
1 ½ cup smooth peanut butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
6 cups Special K cereal
3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
6 TB butter

Directions for Special K Bars:
First, in a medium pan, bring sugar and syrup to a boil, stirring constantly so it doesn’t burn.
Next, remove from heat and add peanut butter and vanilla. Stir until smooth.
Then, pour mixture over the cereal and mix until well coated.
Now, press into a 9 x 13 pan lined with parchment paper.
Next, microwave chocolate chips for 30 seconds, stir. Heat in 10 second intervals, stirring each time until smooth.
Finally, frost top of the bars with chocolate. Cool completely and cut into bars.
