These Snowball Cookies are hands down our favorite cookies of the season. My mom’s recipe, these cookies are loved by all! Everyone asks me for this recipe and they are so simple to make with just a few ingredients. It just isn’t the holidays without baking these classic Snowball Cookies!

You will need:
1 cup softened butter
½ cup powdered sugar
2 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Directions for Snowball Cookies:
First, preheat oven to 375 degrees. With a stand mixer, beat butter until fluffy. Add vanilla.
Next, add sugar and flour, ½ cup at a time.
Now, roll dough into marble sized balls ( a little bigger than a nickel in diameter – no larger than this or the bottom will burn and the cookies will be doughy.
Then bake 11 minutes or until bottom is golden brown and cookie is firm.
Finally, wait until cool and shake in a Ziploc bag with powdered sugar.
These are THE BEST Snowball Cookies! We prefer them without nuts but it’s easy to add chopped walnuts or pecans to your dough. They make around 4 dozen, but I ALWAYS have to double the recipe because these are the first cookies to go!
