Instead of just putting out a bowl of nuts for Sandy’s treats, I decided to get a little creative and try to make her Tree Dome in snack form! I think they turned out so cute and it makes a great edible craft activity too!

You will need:
12 Moon Pies (any flavor I used Banana)
Green buttercream frosting (store-bought or homemade)
Flower sprinkles
Green fondant
12 pretzel sticks
Clear fillable Christmas ornaments
Directions for Sandy’s Tree Dome Moon Pies
First frost the top of the moon pies with green buttercream frosting. You can use any flavor for the moon pies, I like the banana ones, but the chocolate moon pies are great too!

Next sprinkle the flower sprinkles on top of the buttercream.

Now roll the green fondant into ½ inch balls.
Then press a pretzel stick into one end of the fondant ball.

Press the pretzel stick into the center of the moon pie

Finally place one half of the clear Christmas ornament on top of the moon pie.

Now you have the cutest treat for your SpongeBob themed party! Have the kids help with this one, they will absolutely love making these! Sandy is probably my favorite SpongeBob Squarepants character, and I think these little mini Tree Domes turned out so great!
