These Pudding Filled Dirt Cupcakes are so much fun to make! Just a few ingredients, kids will love them and love to help make them too! Actually, I’ve just recently made these for an adult birthday party because you never really outgrow gummy worms and dirt cups now do you?

You will need:
1 (15.25 oz.) box chocolate cake mix plus ingredients listed on the box
2 (16 oz.) cans of chocolate frosting
1 (5.9 oz.) instant chocolate pudding plus ingredients listed on the box
About 10 Oreo cookies, crushed fine
Candy gummy worms or candy sour gummy worms
*optional – Mint leaves

Directions for Pudding Filled Dirt Cupcakes
Prepare and bake cupcakes according to box instructions.
Remove cupcakes when done baking and cool completely. While the cupcakes are cooling, make the pudding according to package instructions.
When the cupcakes are cool, core out the middle of the cupcake with a knife or a melon baller. Be sure not to go all the way down to the bottom of the cupcake.
Fill the cupcake with pudding using a spoon or pipe the pudding in using a plastic zipper bag.
Place the top of the cupcake back on top.
Pipe or spread chocolate frosting on top of the cupcake (I used a 1M piping tip)
Sprinkle top of the cupcake with the crushed Oreo
Top with a candy gummy or sour worms
Place a mint leaf on top if desired
Now you have some pretty adorable pudding filled dirt cupcakes! Young and old love these cupcakes. They’re really nostalgic for the adults and kids absolutely love them! They are great for garden themed parties, fishing themed parties, camping, picnics and potlucks too! They are always the first to go whenever I bring them to a family get-together!
The yummy creamy pudding inside is a nice surprise!

Pudding Filled Dirt Cupcakes topped with candy gummy worms or sour gummy worms! Your favorite childhood dessert in cupcake form!
Ingredients
- 1 (15.25 oz.) box chocolate cake mix plus ingredients listed on the box
