Patriotic Cherry Pies

These adorable Patriotic Cherry Pies are SO CUTE! It’s the perfect dessert for your 4th of July celebration! Only 3 ingredients and so easy to make using Drake’s Cherry Fruit Pies!

You will need:

2 boxes Drake’s Cherry Fruit Pies

Royal decorating icing, blue, green, red and white (click here for my Royal icing recipe or you can buy store-bought cookie decorating icing)

White non-pareil sprinkles (optional)

#1 piping tip

#2 piping tip

#5 piping tip

Disposable piping bags

Directions for Patriotic Cherry Pies:

First, using a #2 piping tip, pipe the cherry stems and leaves on top of the cherry fruit pie.

Next, using a #5 piping tip and blue royal icing, pipe a dot about the size of a dime at the bottom end of a cherry stem and immediately sprinkle the white non-pareils sprinkles on top.

Now using a #5 piping tip and red royal icing, pipe a dot about the size of a dime at the bottom end of the other cherry stem.

Finally, using a #1 piping tip and white royal icing, pipe stripes across the red cherry.

Let dry completely, for at least 4 hours or overnight for a hard set.

These mini hand pies are just the perfect size for 4th of July picnics, parties and potlucks. No-bake treats made easy and they are SO GOOD! NO need to worry about your dessert melting in the summer sun. These are my husband’s absolute favorites!
