You can even make these cupcakes easier for the kiddos to make using store-bought cupcakes already frosted with green icing. That way they can get straight to decorating which is the fun part!
You’ll just love adding candy to these vanilla wafer cookies to make wee little leprechauns!
You will need:
Approximately ½ cup yellow candy coating wafers
12 green gumdrops
2 green apple sour straws
12 vanilla wafer cookies
84 mini orange M&M’s
Black edible marker
12 cupcakes frosted with green icing
- Melt candy coating according to package instructions.
- Dip the bottom of a green gumdrop in the yellow melted candy coating.
- Cut the green apple sour straws into approximately 1” pieces.
- Place green gumdrop on top of a 1” piece of sour straw for hat. Let dry.
- Using a toothpick dipped in yellow melted candy coating, attach 7 orange mini M&M’s to the bottom rim of the vanilla wafer.
- Attach gumdrop hat to the top of the cookie with melted candy coating.
- Draw smiley face using a black edible marker on the vanilla wafer cookie. Place cookie on top of the frosted cupcake.
