Even as a child I would try to imagine what the inside of Snoopy’s doghouse looked like. In the Peanut’s comic strip, Charles Schulz told us how Snoopy had a Van Gogh painting (replaced with an Andrew Wyeth), a pool table, ping pong table, stairs, waffle iron and so many other items. Snoopy had what seemed to be a little doghouse on the surface, but it held so many things!
So I read all of the comic strips I could get my hands on and came up what I thought Snoopy’s house interior looked like underground. I built this by kit bashing and customizing Robotime Rolife Super Creator and Re-ment kits. I also built some custom items from scratch and then completed it by adding my Snoopy, Woodstock and Snoopy’s siblings figures!
Try to find all the items listed in the strips below and let me know if I missed anything!

The Build:
I have been thinking of this project for YEARS. I imagined it as a child, drew plans as an adult and knew how I wanted it to look. It wasn’t until just recently, when I saw the Rolife Super Creator Kits, I thought these kits might be perfect for what I wanted to achieve! This project/post was not sponsored by Robotime but I really love these kits. They are so well made and were easy to put together. Everything fit perfectly with no glue or mess. They came with easy instructions and they even light up!

Most importantly they were easy to customize. I had to use my own design for the walls since Snoopy’s doghouse doesn’t have windows underground.

I even included the comic strips on the exterior walls.

A lot of the Rolife furnishings were used, but wanted to incorporate some of my Snoopy Re-ment supplies I have collected over the years.

I changed some things that came with the Rolife kits like painting some furniture different colors and I wasn’t loving the yellow color or design on the bedroom comforter so I painted it and made a quilt out of washi tape.

Custom made:
Then I custom made some items from scratch like the pool table, root beer bottles, TV dinners, etc.

I love how the Rolife furniture opens up. Although no one can see what I have put in the refrigerator or closet, I know it’s there.

The kits were easy to stack and the nice thing is, you can add on vertically or horizontally.

I attached the clear dust proof doors.

It’s almost done!

Lights are on!

I placed artificial grass, a little miniature fence and Snoopy on his doghouse on top! Then I added a blue background and clouds.

Research:
I researched this project by reading the Peanut’s comic strips below by Charles M. Schulz (aka Sparky). Please visit The Charles M. Schulz Museum and Research Center for more information about Charles Schulz and Peanuts. They have rotating exhibits and I always learn something new each time I go. Located in Santa Rosa, CA, it’s one of my most favorite places in the world!

Thank you Sparky for a lifetime of inspiration!
