These adorable no-bake Horse Cookies are just perfect for your Kentucky Derby Party, Barnyard Bash, or for any horse lover!
Using store-bought Fig Newtons cookies, they are just so fun and easy to make, everyone will love them!

You will need:
12 Fig Newton Cookies
24 almond slices
24 black pearl sprinkles
Brown fondant
1/2-inch Mini daisy fondant cutter
1/2-inch Mini round circle fondant cutter
Black edible food coloring marker
Disposable piping bag
Wilton #3 piping tip
1 toothpick
For the black buttercream frosting:
1/4 cup butter, softened
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup powdered sugar
2 Tb heavy cream

To make the black buttercream frosting, cream butter with mixer until fluffy. Beat in powdered sugar a little at a time until fluffy and completely incorporated. Mix in vanilla
Add in the heavy cream and black food coloring and beat until fluffy and smooth. (about 3 minutes) Set aside.
Push two almond slices into the top of the cookie for ears. Attach the two black pearl sprinkles using buttercream for the eyes.
Roll out the brown fondant and cut out 12 daisy shapes and 12 circle shapes. Attach the daisy shape on top of the cookie between the ears for mane. Attach the fondant circle to bottom of the cookie for the nose.
Pipe a horse bridle with a #3 tip across the middle of the cookie with black frosting. Decorate the mane and the nose with the black edible marker.
Make two small holes in the nose with the toothpick.
