This recipe for King’s Hawaiian Rolls Cream Cheese Danish is a family favorite. Just takes minutes to make, it’s the perfect Christmas brunch dish or for anytime! My hubby is not a cream cheese or danish fan, but he LOVES these! They are light and fluffy and the dough tastes homemade! Your friends and family will love these!

You will need:
12 count King’s Hawaiian Sweet Rolls
½ cup melted salted butter
2 TB brown sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
3 TB granulated sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
For glaze:
1 cup powdered sugar
2 TB milk
½ tsp vanilla extract
*optional 1 tsp fresh lemon juice

Directions for King’s Hawaiian Rolls Cream Cheese Danish
Spray 7″x11″ or 9″x13″baking dish with non-stick spray and place rolls inside dish.
Next take a serrated knife and cute a square in the top of each roll halfway down.
Pop the square off and use later (for croutons or another recipe)
Stir the melted butter with the brown sugar and cinnamon.
With a pastry brush, brush the rolls all over with the cinnamon sugar butter mixture. Be sure to coat heavily around the sides, tops, in between each roll and inside of the squares in the roll.
Now with a hand mixer, mix together the cream cheese, granulated sugar and egg.
Then spoon the cream cheese mixture into the rolls and fill up to the top of each roll.
Bake at 375 degrees for 15- 20 minutes or until the center of the cream cheese is set.
Let cool for 20 minutes so the cream cheese mixture sets. Meanwhile mix together the powdered sugar, milk and ½ tsp vanilla (you can add 1 tsp fresh lemon juice if desired).
Drizzle tops of the rolls with the icing mixture with a spoon
