These will remind you of Sunday morning at grandma’s house. They are just the most comforting biscuits and your family will ask you to make them over and over again. Perfect for potlucks along with a jar of strawberry preserves or a pot of country gravy!
You will need:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 Tb baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
6 Tb cold butter, cut into small cubes
1 cup cold buttermilk

In a large bowl, whisk dry ingredients together.
Next, cut butter in using a fork until crumbly. Pour in buttermilk and stir to combine but do not overmix.
Place dough on a floured board and roll with a rolling pin to 3/4 inch thick. Fold dough in half and repeat 4-5 more times.
Using a 2 1/2 biscuit cutter, cut biscuits out and place on parchment paper-lined cookie sheet.
Bake for 13-15 minutes at 450 degrees or until golden.
Serve with strawberry preserves or with country gravy on top.
