You will need:
2 bananas, peeled and sliced
1 (5.1oz.) box Instant Banana Pudding (large box)
1 ½ cups milk
8 oz. container Cool Whip, divided and thawed
9” prepared graham cracker crust
Fresh lemon juice (optional)*
Directions for Easy Banana Cream Pie:
First, peel and slice the bananas into ¼ inch slices. (*optional – lightly brush the banana slices with lemon juice to prevent browning) Make sure you lightly brush with the lemon juice, you don’t want the pie to taste like lemons
Place the banana slices on the bottom of the pie crust. You can do one or 2 layers of fresh bananas, whatever you prefer.
Next, with a whisk, blend the milk and the instant banana pudding mix together in a bowl.
Then, fold in HALF of the thawed Cool Whip until well combined.
Now pour the filling into the pie crust and smooth with an offset spatula.
Refrigerate or freeze for 2 hours.
Top with the remaining Cool Whip and banana slices or vanilla wafers
Now you have the BEST banana cream pie! We love this frozen too, it makes such a great dessert and comes together so fast! Takes about 5 minutes to prepare!
Try adding fresh strawberries along with the fresh bananas in the bottom of the crust and you have a yummy strawberry banana cream pie! Drizzle with chocolate or crushed vanilla wafers!
