You will need:
2 – (12.67oz.) Big Pack boxes of Little Debbie Chocolate Chip Mini Muffins
Red buttercream frosting (homemade or store-bought. Click here for my best buttercream recipe)
White buttercream frosting
Blue buttercream frosting
3 – #1M piping tips (optional – you can simply frost the tops with a knife if you wish)
Disposable piping bags (optional)
50 white star sprinkles
White mini muffin paper liners (optional)
Directions for Chocolate Chip Mini Muffin Flag:
First place the mini muffin paper liners so that there are 6 rows of muffin liners vertically and 9 rows horizontally. Next place the chocolate chip mini muffins in each liner.
Then, starting in the upper left hand corner with a 1M piping tip and blue buttercream frosting, pipe the top of 4 muffins across and 3 rows down for a total of 12 mini muffins.
Immediately sprinkle the star sprinkles on top. (I counted out 50 star sprinkles and put them on randomly).
Now using #1M piping tips and red and white buttercream frosting, pipe the first row across after the blue muffin with red frosting, and then the second row with white frosting.
Continue to alternate the red and white frosting for each row so that it resembles an American flag.
No need for a centerpiece when you have this beauty on the table!
