My Dad made the Best Bacon Gravy. The ultimate comfort food, I have never had a recipe even come close to my dad’s recipe.
Made with just a few simple ingredients, it’s a no fuss meal perfect for breakfast, lunch or dinner. We all love it and I hope you will love it as much as we do!

YOU WILL NEED:
1 pound bacon, chopped
½ yellow onion, chopped
2 cups milk
2 Tablespoons cornstarch
2 Tablespoons water
Fresh ground black pepper to taste
Toast or buttermilk biscuits

DIRECTIONS:
First, fry bacon in a large frying pan until halfway done.
Next, add the onion and continue frying until bacon is done and onions are soft.
Now drain all but 2-3 Tablespoons of the grease
Whisk in the milk and make a cornstarch slurry and add in the gravy.
Then cook until gravy has thickened.
Finally, add freshly ground black pepper and serve over toast or buttermilk biscuits
We prefer my dad’s Best Bacon Gravy over toast, but it is great over buttermilk biscuits too! So simple to make using just a few ingredients. Perfect on a cold winter’s day its just the best comfort food and always brings back such great memories of my dad.
