Celebrate the Year of the Dog by making some cute Year of the Dog Snoopy cookies! These adorable sugar cookies were so fun to make. Perfect for your Chinese New Year/Lunar New Year celebration party!

I’m a Snoopy FREAK so when I learned it was the Year of the Dog, of course I had to break out the Snoopy cookie cutters!
You will need:
- Your favorite sugar cookie recipe
- Snoopy cookie cutter
- Red cookie icing
- Food safe paint brush
- Gold food color mist or gold pearl dust mixed with a little vodka
- First, cut out Snoopy shapes from your sugar cookie dough and bake according to your recipe. Let cool completely.
- Next, decorate cookies with red cookie icing. Let dry overnight
- Now, spray gold food color mist in a small bowl (or mix gold luster dust with a small amount of vodka)
- Finally, with a fine tip food safe paint brush, outline Snoopy’s head and make gold designs on the cookie.

I used a food safe paint brush and dipped it into gold food coloring. I sprayed gold food color mist by Wilton into a small dish, dipped my brush in and began painting. These were so much fun to decorate!

Wishing you Happiness, good health and wealth for the New Year!
