You will need:
14 Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes
8” round cake
White buttercream frosting
Peppermint buttercream frosting
¼ tsp peppermint extract
Pink food coloring
Variety of Christmas sprinkles
2 white chocolate store-bought truffles (I used Lindt)
White chocolate chips
Mini brown M&M
Disposable piping bags
Directions for Peppermint Polar Bear Christmas Tree Cake:
First bake your round cake – the flavor I chose was a store-bought box vanilla with red and green confetti sprinkles mixed in.
Next make your buttercream frosting – you can get my recipe with the ingredients here. Add a few drops of pink food coloring until you get the color you desire along with ¼ tsp peppermint extract. If you want a stronger peppermint flavor, add a few drops more, this extract is strong and a little goes a long way. (If you are using store bought white frosting, I suggest using 2 cans of white frosting and 1/3 cup powdered sugar blended in with a hand mixer for a firmer frosting).

Now frost your cake with the pink peppermint buttercream.

Then add the Little Debbie Trees around the side of your cake. You can slice the trees in half so they are thinner if you wish.

Now pipe on the white buttercream around the top of your cake using the #4B large star piping tip. Then pipe the bottom of the cake using the #21 star piping tip.

Add sprinkles to the top of the cake. I added red bow sprinkles to the tops of each Little Debbie Christmas Tree. You can easily use snowflake or star sprinkles instead.

Truffle Polar Bear Directions:
To make the truffle polar bear, slice about ¼ of one end of each truffle. Melt some white chocolate chips and attach the flat part of each truffle together using the melted white chocolate. Then add ears and feet for the bear using the white chocolate chips. Attach with the melted white chocolate. Attach the mini brown M&M candy for the nose with white chocolate. Draw on eyes and feet using the black edible markers. You can even make a scarf and hat out of red fondant if you wish.

Add the truffle polar bear along with 3 Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes to the top of the cake. Place some peppermint puff candies on top.

Now you have the sweetest showstopper of a cake featuring everyone favorite – Little Debbie’s Christmas Tree Cakes!
