You will need:

1 (11.55 oz.) box Drake’s Cakes Ring Dings
White frosting
Chocolate frosting
Chocolate flake cereal (I used Post Premier Protein Chocolate Almond Flakes)
Powdered sugar
Directions for Easy Chocolate Pine Cones:
First frost the top of the Ring Dings with white frosting. (I used a 1M piping tip but you can just spread the frosting on.

Next pipe a thick frosting base in the middle of the Ring Ding. (If you use a store-bought frosting you can add ¼ cup of powdered sugar with a hand mixer for a stiffer base) This makes the assembly of the cereal easier and it won’t collapse.

Now push in the chocolate flake cereal around the base of the chocolate frosting with the flakes pointing upwards and the chocolate part on the exterior.

Then repeat with the next rows.

Dust with powdered sugar using a sieve or strainer

These were honestly so much fun to make! I loved the result too, they look just like pine cones! Ring Dings are my favorite snack cake so these are delicious! They would look great on a dessert buffet table, or just an elegant wintery dessert centerpiece. Everyone will think you spent hours on these and they don’t require any decorating skills at all!
