These Easy Pecan Pie Bars will become your new favorite dessert for the holidays! The perfect treat for fall, the holidays like Thanksgiving or Christmas, everyone asks for this recipe! With a buttery shortbread crust and ooey gooey pecan pie goodness, they are impossible to resist!

You will need:

For the crust:
1 cup salted butter
½ c granulated sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
For the topping:
1 ½ cup dark Karo Syrup
¼ tsp salt
4 large room temperature eggs
1 TB vanilla extract
2/3 cup brown sugar, packed
1/3 cup all-purpose flour, sifted
2 cups chopped pecans
Directions for the Easy Pecan Pie Bars:
For the crust:
First, whisk together the flour and the sugar in a large bowl. Then, add the melted butter and stir until wet and crumbly.

Next, line 9×13 pan with parchment paper
Now, put dough in the pan and pat into a smooth even layer. Press and compact together.
Bake at 350 degrees F for about 20-24 minutes or until golden brown.
For the topping:
Chop the pecans

Whisk together the syrup, salt, eggs, vanilla and brown sugar in a large bowl

Stir in the sifted flour.

Stir in the chopped pecans

Pour the topping on top of the baked crust and spread evenly.


Bake at 350 degrees F for 30-33 minutes. If the bars are too gooey it means they’re underbaked.
Store in the refrigerator in an air-tight container, but you probably won’t have any leftovers! This makes a great potluck dish for Thanksgiving too!
