Plankton Pretzel Rods

These plankton pretzel rods were so fun and easy to make! They are super cute and look just like Plankton on SpongeBob! These are the perfect addition for your Spongebob themed party!

You will need:

15 Pretzel Rods

12 oz. bag Yellow candy coating wafers

12. oz. bag Green candy coating wafers

Red confetti sprinkles

Black edible marker

Disposable piping bags

Parchment paper

Directions for Plankton Pretzel Rods:

First melt yellow candy coating according to package instructions and pour into a piping bag.  Snip the tip off of the bag and pipe ½ inch round dots on the parchment paper for the eyes.

Then immediately place a red confetti sprinkle in the middle of the yellow dots, these are Planton’s eyes.  Set aside to set up completely. Make sure they are completely set before moving on to the next step.

Next melt green candy coating according to package instructions.  Pour the candy coating into a tall glass lined with a piping bag for easy cleanup.

Then dip a pretzel rod into the green melted candy coating and tap off excess. 

Now place the pretzel on parchment paper.

Then immediately place the hardened eye near the top middle part of the dipped pretzel rod.

Let the pretzel rods harden completely.

Finally using the black edible marker, draw on Plankton’s eyebrow and mouth.
