These little Marshmallow Hot Chocolate Cookies started my blogging career way back in 2011. I made these little cookies and posted them to Facebook (the only social media back then really) and Martha Stewart herself saw them.
Next thing I knew she featured them on “The Martha Stewart Show” and it was definitely “a good thing”
They are still so popular on social media and Pinterest, and I decided to update the recipe a little to make them even easier to make!
These are easy and adorable and NO BAKE! Super fun to make with the kids and everyone loves them.
You will need:
White candy coating
White cookie icing (I used store-bought Betty Crocker but you can use my royal icing recipe here)
Mini candy canes
Regular size marshmallows
Chocolate candy coating
Store-bought tea cookies (I used Anna’s Swedish Thins Cookies)
Green and red confetti sprinkles
Jumbo tree or Heart sprinkles
Directions for Marshmallow Hot Chocolate Cookies:
Melt white candy coating in small microwave-safe bowl according to package instructions.
Cut candy cane at the curve with kitchen shears or a knife. It helps if you gently rock the knife back and forth rather than try to chop the candy cane.
Dip the cut ends of the curved candy cane into the white melted candy coating on the side of the marshmallow and hold candy cane curve in place until it hardens and is secure.
Attach a jumbo tree or heart sprinkle to the front of the marshmallow using the white candy coating.
Melt chocolate candy coating according to package instructions. Then pipe chocolate candy coating on top of marshmallow leaving a small rim.
Top with 3 mallow bits.
Pipe white candy cookie icing in the center of the cookie.
While the cookie icing is still wet, place red and green confetti sprinkles around the outside of the cookie
Immediately place marshmallow in the middle of cookie.
Now you have the SWEETEST Marshmallow Hot Chocolate Cookies! So adorable and fun to make.
