My Dad was a B-17 Bombardier in WWII and also served in the Korean War. One of my favorite childhood memories was when he made us all a simple dinner of Army Creamy Hamburger Gravy (or S.O.S.). It was such a simple dinner, but so good. Just basic comfort food that we all loved and he loved making it for us.

SOS Army Hamburger Gravy is a tradition in our house, it’s so simple to make and you can even add some soy sauce, red pepper flakes or some vegetables! It’s the ultimate comfort food for me, my dad absolutely loved making it and it comes together so quickly! Makes a perfect late night snack too.
I always think of my dad when making this. He had some really great recipes like our family’s favorite chili recipe and bacon gravy too! He really was from the greatest generation and my absolute hero.
