This chocolate dump cake is so incredibly easy to make! It’s SO GOOD and makes it’s own chocolate sauce that you spoon on top. Simply dump all of the ingredients into a baking dish and let it do it’s magic! That’s really what it is, magic because it shouldn’t be so easy and it shouldn’t taste so amazing, BUT IT DOES! Just scoop out the cake when it’s done and pour the chocolate sauce that it bakes in on top. Serve with vanilla ice cream, it’s a fun dessert any day of the week!

For the cake:
1 cup flour
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 Tbs unsweetened cocoa powder
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup milk
3 Tbs melted butter
1/2 tsp vanilla
For the sauce:
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 3/4 cup boiling hot water

Directions for the Chocolate Dump Cake
Combine the 3/4 cup sugar with flour 2 Tbs cocoa powder, baking powder and salt.
Add the milk butter and vanilla and whisk until smooth. Pour the batter into a greased 9 X 9″ square baking pan.
Mix together the 1/4 cup granulated sugar, brown sugar, 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder and the boiling water until sugars are dissolved.
Slowly pour the boiling mixture over the top of the batter.
DO NOT STIR OR MIX, JUST ALLOW THE WATER TO SIT ON TOP.
Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes or until center is almost set but still jiggly.
Allow to cool for 10 minutes and serve with ice cream and spoon the fudge sauce from the pan over the top of each serving.
